COMPANY INFORMATION

Maxitrol Company’s headquarters is currently located in Southfield, Michigan with production facilities in Blissfield and Colon, Michigan. Throughout the years Maxitrol Company has undergone many changes and faced many challenges, but through the work of talented and dedicated employees, it continues to develop innovative technology for the natural gas industry.

Maxitrol began distributing its products in the European market in 1965 when it opened a division in Senden, Germany, and increased its presence in 1993 by partnering with Mertik Regelungstechnik GmbH, located in Thale, Germany. New affiliate Mertik Regelungstechnik was reorganized and renamed Mertik Maxitrol. Today, Mertik attributes more than 95% of its sales to products developed since 1993 and holds 51 patents in 15 countries. The two company’s product lines compliment each other with Mertik producing gas combination controls, gas safety products, and the new Plug1 gas convenience outlet. Maxitrol and Mertik often pool their talent for joint projects.

MAXITROL ZERO GOVERNORS REGULATORS

Description:

Zero Governor regulators are used for flow control of burners, nozzle mixers, mixing tees, and proportional pre-mixers.

MAXITROL STRAIGHT – THRU – FLOW REGULATORS

Description:

Maxitrol’s original straight – thru – flow design regulators are main burner only, non-lockup type. Typical applications include residential, commercial, and industrial gas-fired appliances and equipment used on low/medium pressure gas supply.

MAXITROL POPPET DESIGN REGULATORS

Description:

The poppet model RV Series is designed primarily for main burner and pilot load applications. Typical applications include residential and commercial cooking appliances, hearth products, pilot lines, and residential water heaters. They are rated for up to 1/2 psi (35 mbar).

MAXITROL PILOT LOADED DESIGN REGULATORS

Description:

The 220 Series, utilizing a servo-operated design rather than the more conventional spring-loaded design, delivers higher outlet pressure than spring loaded models.

MAXITROL LEVER ACTING DESIGN REGULATORS

Description:

325 Series regulators are for 2 psi and 5 psi piping systems. Models available for appliance main burner or pilot applications and as line pressure regulators.

MAXITROL BALANCED VALVE DESIGN REGULATORS

Description:

R & RS regulators are for main burner and pilot load applications. They are ideal for use in industrial applications such as infrared heaters and on pilot lines for large process heaters and bakers. They may also be used in residential applications as appliance regulators.

210 Series balanced valve design is a lockup-type regulator. Its intended applications include gas-fired boilers, steam generators, industrial furnaces, and ovens. Remote sensing option is available on 210D, E, and G models (consult Maxitrol).

MAXITROL 2 – STAGE REGULATORS

Description:

An ideal replacement for dual manifold systems, 2-stage regulator valves combine gas pressure regulating and flame staging in a single unit. Applications include direct-fired heaters with two-speed fans hi-lo controls for door heaters, natural gas switchover, and industrial.

MAXITROL BALL VALVES

Description:

Maxitrol ball valves are designed primarily for gas, water, oil and steam applications. They have a forged brass body, hard chrome plated ball, and anticorrosion Dacromet treated handle. Female NPT inlet and outlet.

MAXITROL MODULATOR VALVES

Description:

Maxitrol’s unique Modulator valve provides precise, non-fluctuating, instantaneous temperature control without requiring a motor or mechanically driven butterfly valve.

MAXITROL MODULATOR – REGULATOR VALVES

Description:

MR valves perform dual function of modulation and pressure regulation.

Gases:

Suitable for natural, manufactured, mixed gases, liquefied petroleum gases and LP gas-air mixtures. H, H-1 models for use with liquefied petroleum of LP gas-air mixture.

MAXITROL PILOT LOADING

Description:

Consists of regulator with top cover assembly and gaskets.

MAXITROL 3 – WAY CONTROL HEAD KITS

Description:

Consists of: 3-way control head with top cover assembly and gaskets.

MAXITROL INDIRECT FIRED SERIES 92

Description:

Selectra Series 92 electronic gas flame modulation systems are for direct fired applications using higher single stage turndown.

Series 92 systems use Modulator or Modulator – Regulator valves. Please see Maxitrol Bulletin MMR_MT_EN for MMR valve selection application table.

MAXITROL INDIRECT FIRED SERIES 20

Description:

Selectra ® Series 20 electronic gas flame modulation systems are designed primarily for commercial and light industrial space heating, as components of indirect fired units with atmospheric burners.

Combining the capability of the Series 20 and 30, the current Series 20 is designed for single or multiple (up to four) furnace operations. It may be field installed on existing equipment or specified for new equipment installation.

The Series 20 system uses Modulator or Modulator – Regulator valves. Please see Maxitrol Bulletin MMR_MT_EN for M/MR valve selection and application table.

MAXITROL INDIRECT FIRED SERIES 3

Description:

Easily turn a 2-stage indirect fired furnace into a modulating furnace with Maxitrol’s Series 3 electronic gas modulation system. Improved performance, a comfortable work environment, and precise control of discharge air temperature are just a few of the advantages the Series 3 system has over a conventional system.

MAXITROL GAS FILTERS

Description:

Gas and air filters protect downstream controls from particulate contamination.

Gases:

Suitable for natural, manufactured, mixed gases, liquefied petroleum gases, LP, gas-air mixtures, sewer gas, and air.

MAXITROL EXA STAR

Description:

EXA valves are highly accurate and precise modulating control valves. They provide repeatable process control with minimal hysteresis throughout the entire range of modulation.

High fire setting and low fire setting are user programmable.

MAXITROL COMBINATION CONTROLS

Description:

The CV100 is used for applications with high capacity pilot lines such as gas boilers and power burners.

The CV200 is a redundant combination control used in direct spark or hot surface ignition applications, eliminating a standing or continuous burning pilot flame. Applications include direct vent gas-fired baseboard heaters, space heaters, wall furnaces, water heaters, gas fireplaces, and commercial cooking appliances.

The CV300 is a redundant combination control similar to the CV200, but an optional regulated or unregulated pilot is also available. Applications include gas fires, commercial cooking appliances, and patio heaters.
